Celebrating #Batman75

This guy went to the 75th Anniversary display at Warner Brothers. Here's some great pics he took.

They had original print comics of early appearances of the caped crusader. On the left there is "Detective Comics (DC) no. 27" which marked the originally debut of a brand-new character called "The Batman" in May 1939. The cover promises "Amazing and Unique Adventures" and "64 pages of action!," which seems like a pretty good deal for 10¢. On the right is "Batman #1," his first solo series.

Those guys over at Warner Bros. have given the studio a little face lift with a great mural that represents almost 80 years of animation history.

The mural, updated for the first time in 15 years, was officially unveiled April 7 at a small fan gathering. The new mural takes advantage of the curved stage roof to recreate the classic Hall of Justice from the old Super Friends TV series, and features a pantheon of superheroes including Batman, Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Starfire, Cyborg, Aquaman and Blue Beetle. Also hanging out around the edges of the hall are Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Sylvester & Tweety, and Scooby-Doo.
