A couple of days ago, I suggested that you all keep an eye out on THEDARKKNIGHTRISES.COM. Well, go check it again, OK? It's now solid black with some sort of group chanting in the background (LISTEN HERE). "The-Fire-Rises?" 

    

UPDATE: That didn't take long. SuperHeroHype Forums member 'Riskproduction' figured out using an audio program that in spectrum the audio says "#thefirerises" which of course would mean something on Twitter. There's even a Twitter.com/TheFireRises account!

According to the Israeli site XNET, Alon Aboutboul is set to join the cast of THE DARK KNIGHT as "an evil scientist." Could this mean he's playing Dr. Hugo Strange? Interesting.

According to THE TIMES OF INDIA, the TDKR shoot in India is complete. Also, the report claims that both Christian Bale and Josh Pense (who is playing a young Ra's Al Ghul in the film) were on set and filmed scenes. The report also details what was filmed with star Christian Bale, thus the SPOILER warning. 

Ryan Standfest: BLACK EYE Anthology Confiscated at Canadian Border | The Comics Journal

Mr. Tom Neely reported this morning that while traveling across the border to Canada to attend this year’s TCAF, the five copies of the black humor comics anthology BLACK EYE that he was carrying with him to the festival were confiscated/seized by a customs agent on the grounds that the material in BLACK EYE was “obscene.”
According to Neely:
“… They took ‘em. I tried to get them to just ship them back to me at home, but they said they were required to send it to Ottawa for review… if they found the material to be ‘obscene’ they would take ‘further action.’ I asked what ‘further action’ meant and he said they would just destroy them. Or there is a chance they might ship them back to me.

Max Headroom Coming to Calgary

One of my personal faves....Matt Frewer is coming to the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo this June!!

Probably best know for Max Headroom, he has had numerous great Sci-Fi roles including Moloch the Mystic in the comic book based hit film Watchmen. He was also on Da Vinci's inquest (arguably the best TV series to come outta Canada) and a great series, SO FUNNY, that was cancelled...Doctor Doctor.
Also voiced of Sid the Squid in the Batman: The Animated Series episode "The Man Who Killed Batman"

TDKR Filming Schedule Update/Details

Here's a few details about TDKR's shooting schedule from a very solid, longtime source... * The shoot in India is a short one.
* Filming in Pittsburgh is only going to last about 3 weeks.
* Back overseas for a shoot in the UK and then probably headed to NYC.
* Most of the filming looks to be taking place in LA -- studio/soundstage work he assumes.
Also, another longtime FOBOF ("Friend of Batman on Film") tells me that the film's official synopsis could be coming soon. And since so many of you have asked via email, I have heard nothing about a viral campaign for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Of course, that doesn't mean there will not be one.
