A college student in Hanoi, Vietnam, has spent up to $23,000 building his own Batmobile.

Nguyen Dac Chung, born in 1998, is a student of architecture and modeled his functional DIY project of the iconic super-car in the Batman film, "The Dark Knight."

Dac Chung said: “This product is a project that I have been cherishing for three years, and I have been working on it for more than 10 months."

Robert Pattinson Tried and Failed to Lie to Christopher Nolan About Batman Audition.

The hush-hush atmosphere of any Christopher Nolan set means the director knows a thing or two about keeping a secret. As revealed in a new feature on “Tenet” in The Irish Times, star Robert Pattinson said he tried to sneak away from the set, blaming a “family emergency,” for a screen test for Matt Reeves’ “The Batman.” But Nolan, evidently, knew what he was up to immediately.

Heath Ledger’s sisters say....

Joker role in ‘The Dark Knight’ had nothing to do with his death

A documentary about Heath Ledger’s life called I Am Heath Ledger will air on Spike TV next month. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend, and Ledger’s sisters Kate Ledger and Ashleigh Bell were there to debunk a popular, yet unfounded rumor about their brother’s untimely death.
We know that Heath Ledger took his role in The Dark Knight very seriously. You can see that up on the screen as you watch his Oscar-winning performance as The Joker. But as the rumor goes… all the darkness associated with The Joker took a toll on Ledger, leaving him depressed, which led to his drug overdose. According to Ledger’s sisters, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Everything that came to light about the Joker, we were all so confused,” Kate said. She and Bell went on to call speculation that the role made their brother depressed “so not true.”
“Honestly, it was the absolute opposite,” Kate went on. “He had an amazing sense of humor, and I guess maybe only his close family and friends really knew that, but he was having fun. He wasn’t depressed about the Joker.”

Nolan on Why Eckhart/Dent

http://uproxx.com/movies/2015/03/christopher-nolan-harvey-dent-aaron-eckhart/

For Nolan, though, a driving force in the story was always Gotham’s unsung hero: the conflicted, but well-meaning city prosecutor, Harvey Dent.

“The way the story is constructed we always imagined that Harvey Dent would form the emotional arc of the story. His story, his tragedy would be, excuse me, the arc of the story, because The Joker, the purpose of The Joker for us was always that he has no arc, he has no development he doesn’t learn anything through the film, he’s an absolute.”

Dark Knight Trilogy vs. The Comics

http://www.superherohype.com/features/334663-from-comics-to-movies-visual-references-in-the-dark-knight-trilogy
We’re quickly approaching the return of Batman to the big screen. The Dark Knight has had a long history at the movies, and he shows no signs of stopping any time soon. Though it has been a few years since the series concluded, Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” trilogy is still a topic of discussion among fans with the middle entry cited by many as their favorite/the best superhero movie ever. So despite Ben Affleck taking over in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the love for those three films isn’t going anywhere.Check out the link above for more references and WAY MORE photos.

Did you know this about The Dark Knight?

http://thealien-moviebuffs.com/20-things-you-didn-t-know-about-the-dark-knight?page=1&v=d25IGXRVhbK5kvDh8ay8OGVE1xHjqm0gk
Some of these we've heard before, some are now. Either way, a good list for any fan of the Nolan-verse Batman!

Much as he cast Christian Bale before the script for Batman Begins had been finalized, Christopher Nolan spoke to actor Heath Ledger about playing the Joker long before a script had been written. Ledger had actually met with Nolan about playing Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins, but it was more a formality than anything else, as Ledger flat out told Nolan that he had in interest whatsoever in appearing in a “comic book” movie.
