Sneak Peek Justice League Dark

Creative Director Mike Carlin said that, “Justice League Dark is what it sounds like. It’s the dark side of justice. A group of supernatural heroes who band together loosely to take on occult threats, supernatural threats - threats that the real Justice League may be powerless against.” Of course, the team itself is taken straight from DC Comics’ titular comics that were first published in November 2011. The Justice League Dark crew was comprised of characters such as John Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Etrigan the Demon, and Black Orchid. These characters look as if they’ll be included in WB’s feature, and the classic Justice League team will also make an appearance with heroes like Green Lantern and Batman in tow.

Here’s what’s really going on with Ben Affleck’s Batman movie

Affleck isn’t contractually obligated to make a Batman movie

“[After Batman v Superman] he’s contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape,” Affleck’s agent told The Hollywood Reporter this past March, adding, “there’s a script that he’s written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that’s out there as an option.”

http://www.cbr.com/15-craziest-christmas-comic-book-stories/?utm_source=CBR-FB-B&utm_medium=Facebook-Distribution&utm_campaign=CBR-FB-B&view=lista

For as long as there have been comic books being sold, publishers have been doing Christmas comics. “Superman’s Christmas Adventure” was published over 75 years ago. Since Christmas comics have become so ubiquitous, though, there have been so many different types that some of them stand out as particularly bizarre.
Check out the link above for ALL the Christmas Crazy you can handle.

Goodnight Batcave.

A 100% UNauthorized parody of Goodnight, Moon—as only the world-(in)famous MAD Magazine can do it!
Batman may be ready for bed—but crime never sleeps! And before the Caped Crusader can turn in for the night, he’ll have to deal with villains like The Joker, Bane, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, and the Penguin! If the Dark Knight hopes to ever catch some Zs, he’ll have to catch Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals first!

Ben Affleck Confirms Spring Shoot For THE BATMAN

BATMAN-ON-FILM.COM - Ben Affleck Confirms Spring Shoot For THE BATMAN (12.14.16)

Here’s what else Afleck had to say about his Bat-Film and the ones that came before him…
“I respect all of those [Batman] movies. Christopher Nolan did an incredible job, Christian Bale did an incredible job, Tim Burton did an incredible job. At a certain point you have to look forward and try to believe in your own vision for it and not be looking over your shoulder the whole time. I go into that movie with a tremendous amount of respect for the people who came before me.”

Mad Shelia (疯狂希莉娅, 2016) Chinese Mad Max rip-off trailer

I would totally watch this!
Mad Shelia. That’s the title, and presumably main character, of a pretty obvious Mad Max ripoff film out of China. We don’t know much about it, except that the budget looks closer to George Miller’s original Mad Max than his more recent entry in the series, Mad Max: Fury Road. But the trailer shares the batshit passion of those films, and then some. Check it out.

Suicide Squad Squadtroductions: Captain Boomerang

Despite being spoiled by Warner Bros. a few days before Suicide Squad hit theaters, one of the coolest moments of the movie was the “surprise” cameo by Erza Miller as The Flash. He shows up for a few seconds as we’re introduced to Captain Boomerang, and takes out the villain with ease.

Afflecks Batman Script Has Serious Problems? Studio doesn't care.

Rumor mill!!!!
I think this article can safely be filed under "you don't have all the facts".
every the exec says,  "I have no idea what the Batman script is like and I regret that it came off as if I was disparaging the project."

Although Affleck does say this, "We're still working on it and I'm not happy enough with it yet to actually go out there and make a Batman movie, which I would have the highest of standards I would say. It's something that would have to pass a very high bar for me. It's not like, ‘Yeah, this might be fun. Let's go bang this out."

Check out the whole article at the link above.
I think I can wait until the movie comes out (2018?) to make any snap judgements.

Arrow Premiere to Feature Police Sketch from Neal Adams

Arrow Premiere to Feature Police Sketch from Neal Adams
It looks like George Pérez won’t be the only revered DC artist contributing a police sketch to the season 5 premiere of “Arrow.” Neal Adams, who is best known for his pencils on “Batman” and “Detective Comics” in the 1970s, will also be providing a sketch, but of the Emerald Archer himself.

Conroy & Hamill want to do “Hush” and “A Death in the Family” movies?

http://batman-news.com/2016/09/06/kevin-conroy-mark-hamill-hush-death-family-movies/

This would be SWEET!
The duo appeared at Canada’s 2016 Fan Expo this past weekend, and were asked if they were done voicing Batman and The Joker, and what they’d like to do next. According to Screen Geek, both yelled an enthusiastic “no” to the first question, before turning and looking at each other…

This year’s most expensive Halloween costume.

Someone just bought what could be this year’s most expensive Halloween costume.
A private collector bought a batsuit worn by Christian Bale in “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight Rises” for £192,000 ($250,000). Another bidder snagged the batpod—the heavily armed motorcycle used by Batman as he battled the Joker and Bane in two “Dark Knight” movies—for £312,000. And since crime doesn't pay, Bane’s costume sold for £96,000.

Will FISK Return?

D'Onofrio mentioned that he isn't signed to a multi-season contract like some of the other actors.
"Marvel, the company, and especially Jeff Loeb, who runs Marvel Television, he's a clever dude. All those people over there are pretty clever and they love talent. There's no giant commitment for me at Daredevil. Like I didn't have to sign my life away at all. When Jeff tells me there's something coming up and if I'm available, I'll be there. And because it's written so well, I'm going to show up. I'm going to do everything I can because the writing is so good. And then there's a company like Netflix and they're not pressuring you either. They just want good material, good content. They give you money to make good content, so they're not pressuring actors to sign their life away either.... I think that there's this common ground where they say, 'Look, if the material is good are you going to show up?' and I said,  'Definitely'."

Mad Max: Fury Road was one of the most visually stunning films of 2015,
but what might be the most incredible thing about its visuals is that
they’re just as awesome without the special effects of the final cut.

Batman’s Sidekicks, Ranked Worst To Best

http://screenrant.com/batman-sidekicks-ranked-worst-to-best/

The advent of the superhero sidekick sought to achieve two objectives: one — have the character act as a sounding board and confidant for the titular superhero, and — two — appeal to younger audiences who may or may not be interested in an adult fighting crime.
Virtually every major superhero in DC Comics history as had at least one sidekick at their side.
15. Carrie Kelley (Robin)
14. Batman Incorporated
 13. Stephanie Brown (Robin – Batgirl)
 12. Damian Wayne (Robin)

J.K. Simmons Talks Justice League

"My part is done," Simmons said about filming for Commissioner Gordon in London. "They are filming that for basically most of 2016, so some of the superheroes are still at work in jolly old London, but I'm back home with my family."
J.K. Simmons also confirmed that most of his scenes are with Batman.
"Yeah, mostly with Ben," Simmons said. "In this first installment of the Justice League, Commissioner Gordon is not a particularly sizable part. We just kind of introduce him and see a little bit of his interactions with Batman -- and with most of the Justice League."

Check the link above for the complete article, and JK's thoughts on Zack Snyder.
