“The way the story is constructed we always imagined that Harvey Dent would form the emotional arc of the story. His story, his tragedy would be, excuse me, the arc of the story, because The Joker, the purpose of The Joker for us was always that he has no arc, he has no development he doesn’t learn anything through the film, he’s an absolute.”

I had no idea these existed, but apparently there are already two officially licensed DC Comics superhero cafes in Malaysia and a new one is opening next month, specifically in Singapore. The restaurants, owned by the JT Network, offer hero-themed foods like the Superman Man of Steel BBQ Chicken Burrito, a Wonder Woman Turkey Roll, a Batman Dark Knight Mini Wagyu Beef Burger, and more.

Yvonne Craig, the actress best known for her role as Batgirl in the 1960’s “Batman” TV series, died on Monday. She was 78.
Craig passed away at her home in Pacific Palisades surrounded by her family, according to her spokesman. She had been suffering from breast cancer that metastasized to her liver.

More sad news in the Batman Universe, earlier this week we lost a fan who embodied the spirit of Batman...HERE. Today we learn of the passing of the original Batgirl, Yvonne Craig. Although I never had the privilege to meet her, I did manage to get a autographed copy of her book From Ballet to the Batcave and Beyond. By all accounts, a wonderful lady lost.

Smuggling Batarangs
The Transportation Security Administration confiscated four batarangs (interestingly, in two different styles) from a passenger at Boise Airport in Idaho, along with an array of other interesting items from passengers across the country, according to the official TSA Blog.

BatFan Dies!
Some very sad news for all the Batfans out there trying to make it a little better place.
Authorities say a man known for visiting hospitalized children dressed as Batman died in a crash on a western Maryland highway after his Batmobile had engine trouble.
Police say Leonard Robinson, 51, of Owings Mills was checking the engine of his Batmobile while standing in the fast lane of eastbound I-70 Sunday night when the car was hit by a Toyota Camry.Friday 14 August 2015
