Museum puts road legal replica of the BATMOBILE up for sale

 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9184333/Museum-puts-road-legal-replica-BATMOBILE-sale-30-000.html

An incredible road legal replica of the classic Batmobile used in the films starring Michael Keaton is set to sell at auction - and fetch up to £30,000. (approx. $41137.50 USD)

The custom-made vehicle is an exact copy of the Batmobile driven in two Batman films, in 1989 and in 1992, both starring Michael Keaton as the caped crusader.

In 2016 a specialist company in the UK constructed the replica, using a vintage 1965 Ford Mustang as the base.

Restoration Batmobile

The Batmobile started out as a regular sedan, back when Batman was just a detective with a mask. But it graduated to a full crime-fighting machine with the help of the Lincoln Futura concept in the 1960s. Most of the other versions after that were wild single-seaters, but one particular version is still the most popular, even 31 years after its debut.

Check out this great video of the restoration project.
