Cosplay Alive and Well @ Calgary Expo

Calgary Expo 2013

The Calgary Expo is over for another year. Kudos to the organizers and volunteers that made it a stellar show!
Here are some of the highlights for me

Dina Meyers from The Birds of Prey TV series. Great lady, nice to chat with, AND she responded to one of my tweets!

Next was Robert Patrick from Terminator 2 fame, and The Unit! Super guy, chatted with him for 10 minutes! He really took the time to talk to people, very grounded man.

Weird AL!!! Great guy! took time with fans, very genuine man.

AND........Scully! Gillian Anderson is a classy lady.

Speedy Recovery, Adam

(me and Mr.West @ Calgary Expo 2012)
TV’s Batman was originally scheduled to attend C2E2 in Chicago this weekend, but he has had to cancel due to an injury. On their Facebook page, c2E2 posted the following message from Adam West explaining the reason for his cancellation.
“I am sad to say that I cannot come to Chicago. My painful excuse is a fractured vertebrae. The doctor said to leave the stunts to the younger guys. Tough on the ego after all these years. And I’m only 39…Have a great time at the show and Batwishes always.” – Adam West

Like a lot of Batman fans in 1997, I was excited to see Batman & Robin............It was beyond terrible. So why in the hell did the movie end up sucking so bad? Well, here's an eye-opening behind the scenes video

75 years ago today.........

It was 75 years ago today, that Action Comics #1 hit the newsstands!

April Fools!

Early Web speculation suggests that executives at Google, the Mountain View, Calif.-based search company, played a prank on Sergey Brin for April Fools’ Day, vinyl-wrapping the co-founder's personal car–which has custom Google Chrome rims–before making the other additions.

Get it while it's hot!

Needless to say Replica Batmobiles don’t come cheap. But suave millionaires and their youthful wards don’t care about money, and neither should you. This is your chance to own a custom built, officially licensed replica of the most famous car on the planet. Holy mechanical marvel!

Retro Batman Action Figures

And the new Robin is..............

looks like the new Robin in the DC Universe could be Carrie Kelley.
Carrie first appeared in Frank Miller and Klaus Janson‘s seminal Dark Knight Returns, taking up the rolw of Robin, and later appeared as Catgirl in Dark Knight Strikes Again twenty years leter. These stories however have never been part of the official history of the DC Universe, both before and after the recent reboot.
