10 Most Expensive Comic Books Ever Sold
http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/what-are-the-most-expensive-comic-books-ever-sold
Heritage Auctions auctioned off a Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) graded 9.4 copy of "Amazing Fantasy" #15 at their Comics and Comic Art Signature sale in Dallas. As one of the highest-graded copies of Spider-Man's first appearance ever to be sold at public auction, it was expected to fetch a high price. In fact, it set a record, selling for $454,100. That's the most ever paid for a Spider-Man comic at public auction.
To commemorate the sale, CBR compared it to the current record for a copy of "Amazing Fantasy" #15 as well as other notable comic books. Here is a list of the ten most expensive comic book sales of all-time

How to be a Superhero
http://13thdimension.com/this-guy-can-tell-you-how-to-be-a-superhero/
At some point or another in your life, you wanted to be a superhero. Probably even right now. Well, writer Mark Edlitz got the idea to ask the people who’ve actually done it — at least on screen. In How to Be a Superhero (BearManor Media, $42.95 list price), Edlitz talked to dozens of people who’ve given vision and voice to our fantasies: from the actors and actresses who’ve played Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman and even James Bond — to the creators and directors like Stan Lee, Joe Quesada and Jon Favreau.

Over the many decades they've been in operation, some of Comic's most iconic heroes have had visual upgrades - including their suit's emblems. These cool animated gifs by Eric Snapper show just how much the logos of Spider-Man, Superman and Batman have changed over the years.

Before They Were Movies....
Both DC Comics and Marvel would have you think that big-budget, blockbuster films like Superman, Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Green Lantern and The Avengers are their only attempts to bring popular comic book characters into the live-action arena. They would like everyone to forget the sometimes absurd, ridiculous and often ugly reality: that there were numerous early - and failed - attempts to bring super heroes to both the big and small screens.
