Local artist draws tougher, older Batman for DC Comics

Local artist draws tougher, older Batman for DC Comics: Comic book fans are making their way to a north side store to not only meet local indigenous artist Kyle Charles, but to see first hand his latest creation.

“A light beard on him, and like a little wider frame, a bit older, just a little bit tougher looking... it's awesome to be able to draw that form of Batman in the Dark Knight returns style, so I had a lot of fun with it,” Charles told CTV News.

Museum puts road legal replica of the BATMOBILE up for sale

 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9184333/Museum-puts-road-legal-replica-BATMOBILE-sale-30-000.html

An incredible road legal replica of the classic Batmobile used in the films starring Michael Keaton is set to sell at auction - and fetch up to £30,000. (approx. $41137.50 USD)

The custom-made vehicle is an exact copy of the Batmobile driven in two Batman films, in 1989 and in 1992, both starring Michael Keaton as the caped crusader.

In 2016 a specialist company in the UK constructed the replica, using a vintage 1965 Ford Mustang as the base.

Restoration Batmobile

The Batmobile started out as a regular sedan, back when Batman was just a detective with a mask. But it graduated to a full crime-fighting machine with the help of the Lincoln Futura concept in the 1960s. Most of the other versions after that were wild single-seaters, but one particular version is still the most popular, even 31 years after its debut.

Check out this great video of the restoration project.

Batman Unburied: David Goyer Writing Original Script

 https://www.ign.com/articles/batman-unburied-david-goyer-writing-original-scripted-podcast-for-spotify

David S. Goyer, the writer/co-writer for such films as Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises, will be the executive producer on Spotify's Batman Unburied, an audio drama that will "explore the darker aspects of Bruce Wayne's psychology."

Batman Unburied will debut on Spotify in 2021 and is the first original narrative from Spotify, Warner Bros. and DC's multi-year partnership to produce and distribute an original slate of narrative scripted podcasts.

Goyer originated the story and, as previously mentioned, will serve as executive producer, which is being developed by Goyer's Phantom Four production company in association with Warner Bros.' Blue Ribbon Content.

15 songs inspired by comic book heroes

I can think of a couple more, like Superman by The Kinks or Comic Book Collector from The Trashmen or Super Powers by Ookla The Mok.
You might want to check out Miracle of Sound on YT too. Great comic-culture songs!

From 1960s psychedelic shout-outs to some of the wilder elements of Silver Age Marvel, to original tunes crafted for Broadway shows and present-day hip-hop and metal tributes, comics have long provided inspiration to musicians. And while we have never been blessed with having a version of the Teen Titans tearing it up onstage as the late, great Darwyn Cooke envisioned, we have had some cool and quirky music inspired by capes.

Pamela & Ivy | The Poison Ivy Origin Story

This is a very cool interpretation of a couple of Gotham's great villains.
Pamela & Ivy is a gritty exploration of the childhood traumatic event that spawned one of Gotham City's most notorious supervillains.
