JLA Movie...coming....soon?

Yes, that’s right. Justice League. Just one day after the ruling The LA Times is reporting that filming will begin next year and the DC Comics super team will hit the big screen in the summer of 2015.   Apparently they have a script, written by Will Beall, ready to roll and are just looking to attach a director and cast the lead roles.
One word of caution, the source that the LA Times cites is described as ‘a knowledgeable person not authorized to discuss the matter publicly‘ - so if you had ‘Summer 2015′ in your Justice League release date office betting pool hold off on collecting your money till we get the official word.
and of course some good opinion from JET over at  BATMAN-ON-FILM.COM - "JUSTICE LEAGUE" Film in 2015/"BATMAN REBOOTED" Following (10.18.12)

Batman’s got a new ride – I found out about this car via MSN.com and it looks like one badass bat car and it’s a Kia. This isn’t some kind of economy drive, it’s Bruce Wayne’s latest philanthropic project, a campaign to fight hunger in the Horn of Africa. Check out all the images and information taken from MSN.com about the car:

Fan film about fan films? cool

Batman versus the Predator? It happened. Raiders of the Lost Ark remade by kids? It happened. For years, people have been making home movies, many times using pop culture properties that they may not own, but love. In recent years, these types of projects have come to be known as "fanfilms". Backyard Blockbusters looks at the history and influence of the fanfilm genre, as well as the copyright and fair use problems these films create, featuring highlights from and interviews with the creators of many popular films.

Ph.D. in Batman?

Ph.D. in Batman? First doctorate in comic books to be awarded
On Oct. 10, he’ll receive the world’s first fine arts doctorate in comic books, conferred by Monmouth University.

When Michael Uslan was a boy, he watched the stuff that dreams are made of literally go up in smoke.
A friend’s father, who shared the dim view of comic books most grown-ups held in the 1950s and ’60s, burned his son’s collection in his fireplace as young Michael watched in horror. Uslan estimates that the comics he saw consumed in flames that day, which included Spider-Man’s first appearance, would be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars today.
“There were comic book burnings in various towns,” Uslan told TODAY.com. “In postwar America, comics were blamed for juvenile delinquency and, my favorite, asthma, because comic book readers stayed indoors to read instead of playing outside in the fresh air.”

99 things you didn't know

Superman co-creator Joe Shuster had a secret identity as a fetish artist. Shuster and his Superman partner Jerry Seigel saw none of the riches Superman was making for DC Comics, or National as it was known during the 30s and 40s. In fact both were sacked after they tried to get a share of the money. To pay the bills, Shuster took a job illustrating a pulp magazine called Night of Horrors, which featured sado-masochistic scenes of women whipping men and men liking it.
