A college student in Hanoi, Vietnam, has spent up to $23,000 building his own Batmobile.

Nguyen Dac Chung, born in 1998, is a student of architecture and modeled his functional DIY project of the iconic super-car in the Batman film, "The Dark Knight."

Dac Chung said: “This product is a project that I have been cherishing for three years, and I have been working on it for more than 10 months."

Heath Ledger’s sisters say....

Joker role in ‘The Dark Knight’ had nothing to do with his death

A documentary about Heath Ledger’s life called I Am Heath Ledger will air on Spike TV next month. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend, and Ledger’s sisters Kate Ledger and Ashleigh Bell were there to debunk a popular, yet unfounded rumor about their brother’s untimely death.
We know that Heath Ledger took his role in The Dark Knight very seriously. You can see that up on the screen as you watch his Oscar-winning performance as The Joker. But as the rumor goes… all the darkness associated with The Joker took a toll on Ledger, leaving him depressed, which led to his drug overdose. According to Ledger’s sisters, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Everything that came to light about the Joker, we were all so confused,” Kate said. She and Bell went on to call speculation that the role made their brother depressed “so not true.”
“Honestly, it was the absolute opposite,” Kate went on. “He had an amazing sense of humor, and I guess maybe only his close family and friends really knew that, but he was having fun. He wasn’t depressed about the Joker.”

This year’s most expensive Halloween costume.

Someone just bought what could be this year’s most expensive Halloween costume.
A private collector bought a batsuit worn by Christian Bale in “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight Rises” for £192,000 ($250,000). Another bidder snagged the batpod—the heavily armed motorcycle used by Batman as he battled the Joker and Bane in two “Dark Knight” movies—for £312,000. And since crime doesn't pay, Bane’s costume sold for £96,000.

Dark Knight III: The Master Race #1

The first of what is sure to be many variant covers for the upcoming finale of Frank Miller’s Batman epic has been revealed.  The retail-exclusive image, drawn by Dave Johnson and based on a Jim Lee sketch, depicts Batman over the lifeless body of the Joker, recalling the villain’s final bow in The Dark Knight Returns.

Heath Ledger's JOKER Diary

http://moviepilot.com/posts/2015/08/04/heath-ledger-s-joker-diary-is-a-poignant-reminder-of-his-commitment-to-the-role-that-destroyed-him-3440993?lt_source=external,manual

It's widely believed that Heath Ledger's sheer dedication to immersing himself in the Joker's dark psyche led him to his tragic death, and a look inside the iconic actor's 'Joker Diary' is a poignant reminder of his possibly deadly level of commitment to the role.
In a German documentary entitled Too Young To Die, Heath's father, Kim Ledger, takes us on an emotional journey through the chaotic pages of his son's efforts to truly get into character and it isn't easy viewing for any Ledger fan.

Home made Batsuit = Awesome!

http://comicbook.com/2015/02/24/student-builds-functional-batman-combat-suit/

One Batman fan has taken the New 52 approach to his cosplay, choosing function over fashion for a combat-ready Batsuit that can withstand physical blows, baseball bats, and even machetes.
