Captain Canuck Movie?????

Captain Canuck Movie Update

Comicbookdaily. (CBD) recently spoke with Captain Canuck creator Richard Comely and asked him for a progress report on his efforts to bring a Captain Canuck movie to the big screen.
Sinking Ship Productions Inc. did have an option to make a Captain Canuck film but the option lapsed without a movie being produced.

Comely shopped Captain Canuck around again and he now reports that he has signed a deal with a production company and that the deal should see a press release in late April/Early May though he stated that he cannot divulge all the details just yet.

THE FLASH

So I picked-up the complete FLASH series at g'old "sprawl-mart" the other day. I can remember loving this as a kid. Watched the pilot and the first couple episodes and the first thing that jumps out at you is.....this was made at the end of the 80's!!! HA! Sure it was released in 1990...but when you watch it, y'know they started production at the end of the 80's. Gotta love the hair and shoulder pads!!!!
Sure...maybe it wasn't the best on production values, etc. but it still a good Saturday afternoon watch.

Lisa ( AKA "BatChick" ) who is a popular Kindergarten Teacher in New Jersey ( See link above ). For her annual teacher's review last week she incorporated the catchy YouTube "VOWEL-BAT" song, by educator/singer Shari Sloane, into her 3 hour presentation. Dressed in almost full bat-costume for her class, the presentation was a huge hit!! The song proved to be so popular with the kids as a learning tool that the other Teachers in Lisa's school are using it in their classrooms now. You can listen to the song down below but I gotta warn you, it's totally mind-numbing, ha! it teaches Children to learn vowels

Justice League Movie????

http://herocomplex.latimes.com/2011/03/29/justice-league-the-movie-warner-chief-sets-sights-on-team-up-film-and-reinventing-batman/

The first priority for the man ( Jeff Robinov ) with the ultimate say on what films get made at Warner Bros.: Finally getting the Justice League, DC’s team featuring all its top characters, on the big screen in 2013. The picture had been very close to production in late 2007 and early 2008, but was killed by the Writers Guild of America strike, tax credit issues in Australia, and concerns by some at Warner about presenting a competing (and conflicting) version of Batman while director Christopher Nolan’s films were breaking box office records.

Also being written for Warner are scripts featuring the Flash and Wonder Woman.

Green Lantern Wonder-con Footage

Synopsis

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan. Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax...he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Superhero Movies, The Boom And Bust Cycle

Posted on Friday April 1, 2011, 10:23 by Helen O'Hara in Empire States
Superhero Movies, The Boom And Bust Cycle
So Spider-Man and Superman are already being rebooted, and we’ve just learned that Batman’s being rebooted again. That’s the second go around for Spidey, the third for Supes and the fourth or fifth for the Caped Crusader (if you count his 60s incarnation, the Burton films, the Schumacher films (admittedly, that one’s arguable), the Nolan films and now this proposed do-over). The X-Men are being prequel-ified, and there’s even talk of a Fantastic Four reboot (because you know how the fans are baying for that one). So what’s with all the do-overs? Why can’t we just set the rules of the game and stick to them? And is this peculiar to superheroes or a general Hollywood thing?

First of all, why all the do-overs? Well, let’s have a quick think about this. I argued here that there only seems to be three superhero stories that Hollywood is interested in telling. There’s The Origin Story, the Quitting Story and the Going Dark story, three tales that crop up to at least some degree in almost every superhero film. Unless you start trying for originality and branching out in new directions, that means you’re going to need to start over every three films – as indeed has proved to be the case with Spider-Man already. Superman IV: The Quest For Peace went for a fourth story, and paid for it both at the box-office and at the hands of the critics (also: it’s really not good).

Gotham Police Vehicle Spotted in Chicago | Superhero Hype

Gotham Police Vehicle Spotted in Chicago | Superhero Hype

Here's an interesting bit from scooper 'Nxn21' that could mean absolutely nothing or quite a lot:
I might have proof that they are shooting The Dark Knight Rises here in Chicago.

I was making a delivery at an auto parts store in Rolling Meadows and I drove past an automotive paint and decal shop and saw a GPD SUV parked out front.

We'll have to wait and see if the vehicle will really be used for The Dark Knight Rises shoot. There's also the possibility that this shop is making them and then shipping them elsewhere, perhaps to Pittsburgh?!

Wondering where billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne finds the time for romance is like wondering why no-one notices that Clark Kent is Superman with glasses: questions that destroy the fragile reality of comics, and make ‘em no fun for anyone.
