Keaton thought Batman 3 Sucked!

He was supposed to come back for a third Batman film, but once Burton's film was ditched by the studio in favor of Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever things took a turn for the worse. The studio offered Keaton $15 million dollars to reprise his role as the Dark Knight in the film, but he turned it down. CBS Sunday Morning asked why he turned it down and he gave one simple answer,
"Sucked. Yeah, it just was awful!"

Dark Knight Rises website is LIVE !!!!!

When it comes to Batman on film, there's only BATMAN-ON-FILM.COM! Definitive. Authoritative. The ORIGINAL.

This is taken from the website BATMAN-ON-FILM.COM
A couple of days ago, I suggested that you all keep an eye out on THEDARKKNIGHTRISES.COM. Well, go check it again, OK? It's now solid black with some sort of group chanting in the background (LISTEN HERE). "The-Fire-Rises?"

UPDATE: That didn't take long. SuperHeroHype Forums member 'Riskproduction' figured out using an audio program that in spectrum the audio says "#thefirerises" which of course would mean something on Twitter. There's even a Twitter.com/TheFireRises account!

TDKR Filming Schedule Update/Details

When it comes to Batman on film, there's only BATMAN-ON-FILM.COM! Definitive. Authoritative. The ORIGINAL.

TDKR Filming Schedule Update/Details

Here's a few details about TDKR's shooting schedule from a very solid, longtime source... * The shoot in India is a short one.
* Filming in Pittsburgh is only going to last about 3 weeks.
* Back overseas for a shoot in the UK and then probably headed to NYC.
* Most of the filming looks to be taking place in LA -- studio/soundstage work he assumes.
Also, another longtime FOBOF ("Friend of Batman on Film") tells me that the film's official synopsis could be coming soon. And since so many of you have asked via email, I have heard nothing about a viral campaign for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Of course, that doesn't mean there will not be one.

Dark Knight Rises: Plot Revealed?

Maybe...? Take it with a grain of salt, but it does sound convincing.

Dark Knight Rises: Plot Revealed? - Movies News at IGN

Badass Digest claims to have learned from "a good source near the Batcamp" how all the elements we've learned about the film so far -- Catwoman, Bane, Talia Al Ghul -- fit together in the Bat-threequel. The site isn't saying this is for sure, mind you, so bear that in mind when you read these possible (if true) spoilers.

Gotham Police Vehicle Spotted in Chicago | Superhero Hype

Gotham Police Vehicle Spotted in Chicago | Superhero Hype

Here's an interesting bit from scooper 'Nxn21' that could mean absolutely nothing or quite a lot:
I might have proof that they are shooting The Dark Knight Rises here in Chicago.

I was making a delivery at an auto parts store in Rolling Meadows and I drove past an automotive paint and decal shop and saw a GPD SUV parked out front.

We'll have to wait and see if the vehicle will really be used for The Dark Knight Rises shoot. There's also the possibility that this shop is making them and then shipping them elsewhere, perhaps to Pittsburgh?!

Juno Temple Joins 'The Dark Knight Rises' Cast

Juno Temple Joins 'The Dark Knight Rises' Cast

The actress joins the cast as a "street-smart Gotham girl," Variety reports.
How large a role her character will play in the story is a mystery, but Variety probably rightly guesses that, given the general character description and lack of a proper name, it's a small part.

OOPS!!!! retract (but its' not my fault, really!)

Joseph-Gordon-Levitt

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, long-rumored to be joining his Inception brethren in The Dark Knight Rises, will appear in director Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film. But a source close to the situation says that recent reports that Gordon-Levitt will play Alberto Falcone (a.k.a. the Holiday Killer) — the son of former mob kingpin, Carmine Falcone (Tom Wilkinson) — are incorrect. So, Batman fans: Begin the re-speculation now!

Gordon-Levitt's The Dark Knight Rises Role Revealed

Re-teaming with his Inception director
On Friday, Variety reported that Inception co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt had closed a deal to re-team with director Christopher Nolan for The Dark Knight Rises. The trade has since updated their article with who he will play in the anticipated film:

Speculation has run rampant regarding the role, with blogs pegging the part as The Riddler or Deadshot, but insiders tell Variety that Gordon-Levitt will be playing Alberto Falcone, the son of Mafia chieftain Carmine Falcone, the character Tom Wilkinson played in "Batman Begins."
