Did you know this about The Dark Knight?

http://thealien-moviebuffs.com/20-things-you-didn-t-know-about-the-dark-knight?page=1&v=d25IGXRVhbK5kvDh8ay8OGVE1xHjqm0gk
Some of these we've heard before, some are now. Either way, a good list for any fan of the Nolan-verse Batman!

Much as he cast Christian Bale before the script for Batman Begins had been finalized, Christopher Nolan spoke to actor Heath Ledger about playing the Joker long before a script had been written. Ledger had actually met with Nolan about playing Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins, but it was more a formality than anything else, as Ledger flat out told Nolan that he had in interest whatsoever in appearing in a “comic book” movie.

The Usual Suspects via #Gotham

Here's a fantastically fun series of mugshots of Batman villains that were inspired by 1920s era criminal mugshots -- though the photos are dated in the '40s and '50s. They were created by Canadian artist Jason Mark, and he calls the series "The Usual Suspects."

No Eckhart -- AND Two Face -- In THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

BATMAN-ON-FILM.COM - Official: No Eckhart -- AND Two Face -- In THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (12.3.10)

Despite the fact that Harvey Dent -- AND Two Face -- died at the end of THE DARK KNIGHT, many folks continued thinking and hoping that the character would return in BATMAN 3.
It ain't.
Per the man himself -- actor Aaron Eckhart -- neither he or Dent will be in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Here's what he told MTV...

"Chris and I had a meeting, on the beach, just the two of us. I said, 'Chris, a lot of people are asking me if I'm in the next BATMAN. And Chris said, 'Yes?' I said, 'Am I?' He looked at me and he said, 'No.' We found ourselves alone on the beach together on a stormy day and he delivered the news to me and I was heartbroken. I was heartbroken. But Chris has his reasons and my life must go on."

AND...... the "word on the street" has pre-production for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES beginning in March of 2011. Filming is said to begin two months later in May.

Thanks to JETT over at BATMAN-ON-FILM.COM for keeping us updated on all the latest and greatest.

Arkham 2 Screen shots

I gotta admit that these pics look GREAT!!! The detail and expressions on some of the faces is stellar.
Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.

Batman Mash up Holding out for a Hero

This little tidbit of Bat-mania is from a friend on Myspace. Check his page our here.  He did all the editing himself. A pretty good job I think.
Thanks!!!
