@BenAffleck = #Batman ?
So the news about Affleck as Batman in the MoS followup has hit the fan.
Here's an article that may help sooth some fan-boys nerves (this one included)
"Affleck, whether it’s because he started directing, because he married the right person, or because he simply aged and matured, however, has found a way to inject character into himself..."

Print is DEAD?!

I hope that print isn't dead, as assumed by this article. I love going to the comic book store!!!
Over the weekend, Marvel featured a unique sale: purchase a comic on the Marvel Comics app and Marvel would email you a $5 coupon that could be used at any local brick-and-mortar comic book shop. Pretty forward thinking, right? Here’s the quote from Marvel regarding the promotion: “As we continue to grow the digital comics world, we want to make sure it’s always to the benefit of the medium and our comic shop retail partners,” said Peter Phillips, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Marvel Digital Media Group. “This coupon is a great way for us to let more of our fans know about their local comic store and incentivize them to make the trip there. At the end of the day, our goals in the print and digital mediums are the same—bring more fans to comics.”

Can you be Batman???
Great article to read...perhaps a little disheartening for us fan-boys, but pretty "realistic".
The popularity of the current Batman films directed by Christopher Nolan might make you wonder, with the right training and technology, could someone really become Batman? After all, one reason Batman is so popular is the fact he’s just an ordinary human with no super-powers, relying on his brains, his physical training, and his gadgets to give him an edge over criminals. So maybe YOU could become Batman… right?

Batman's past, present, future collide
(CNN) -- As everyone but the citizens of Gotham City knows, Batman is Bruce Wayne. But lately, he's been Dick Grayson. And this month, he's also Damian Wayne and Terry McGinnis. Will the real Batman please stand up?
This look at Batman's past, present and future has been brought about by Grant Morrison, the Scottish writer and playwright behind the award-winning "All-Star Superman." Morrison has masterminded a new direction for the character and returns to the 70-year-old "Batman" comic book series with its 700th issue Wednesday.
"I started to do a bunch of research, and I realized that every story had been told," Morrison said. He decided upon a psychological deconstruction of the character that would run over many issues and over two years, beginning with the story arc "Batman & Son" in 2006.

The above link is a great little history of ROBIN the Boy Wonder...
Dick Grayson was the first and original Robin, and also held the mantle for longest -- he first appeared in Batman comics in 1940, and continued fighting crime in red, green and yellow until 1985. (This is why he is the only person in comics who can still call himself "Dick" without anyone snickering; in 1940, "Dick" was a completely acceptable nickname for "Richard," and by the time people started using the word "dick" as slang for "penis," Mr. Grayson had been named Dick for decades already.)
Grayson is by far the most well-known Robin. Not only did he stay Robin for forty-five years, but he's also the one Robin who generally makes it into adaptations of the Batman franchise -- if you see Robin in a movie or a cartoon or anywhere outside the comics, 90% of the time it'll be Dick Grayson.
