Elseworlds Batman Game That Never Was

Take a Look at the Elseworlds Batman Game That Never Was | Superhero Hype

In 1989, Brian Augustyn and "Hellboy" creator Mike Mignola offered an "imaginary story" of Batman, set in a European Gotham City one hundred years in the past, pitting the caped crusader against Jack the Ripper. Titled "Gotham by Gaslight," the popular one-shot ushered in DC Comics' "Elseworlds" brand, a label designed to showcase the company's iconic heroes in tales set in alternate realities.

Today, Siliconera has a fascinating look at a videogame pitch inspired by "Gaslight" that, sadly, never made it into development.

Artist Igor Kieryluk has created the following stylistic renditions of Batman, Catwoman, Joker, Two-Face as they might have appeared during the Renaissance. How has this NOT been made into a Else-worlds yet?

Father and Daughter bond over Comic Books

What a great article about a father/daughter relationship, that is growing and becoming stronger....because of comic books.

Logelin wrote that he was surprised to discover his three-year-old daughter was "a total tomboy," and that while he was prepared to teach her about sports and fishing and so forth, he found himself completely at a loss when she professed her love for things like Star Wars and comic book superheroes. No doubt a future ComicsAlliance reader, Maddy is particularly fond of Batman.
