Robin Williams: I’m Too Hairy For Batman Movie

Robin Williams thinks he is “too hairy” to star in the next Batman film.
The actor adores the comic film franchise, and would agree to star in the next one without even seeing the script. He would prefer to play a villain, even though he is worried he could never measure up to Heath Ledger’s portrayal of The Joker in The Dark Knight.Robin does think he would play The Riddler well, but insists he is far too hairy to wear the character’s skin-tight costume.
“I would do Batman in a second, playing anyone,” Robin said. “I’d play The Riddler in the next one, although it would be hard to top Heath as the villain and I’m a little hairy for tights.”
Robin has a disappointing history with the Batman series. He was offered parts in two previous films, only to have them given to other stars at the last minute. Despite this, he would still love to star in any future instalments.
“The Batman films have screwed me twice before: years ago they offered my The Joker and then gave it to Jack Nicholson, then they offered me The Riddler and gave it to Jim Carrey. I’d be like, ‘OK, is this a real offer? If it is, then the answer’s yes. Don’t pump me again motherf**kers,’” he told Empire magazine.
