here. But it looks like after a few hiccoughs this might actually get off the ground.
The long-delayed Broadway show "
Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark" announced today that previews will start November 14th and it will open on December 21st at the Foxwoods Theatre, which used to be the Hilton.
Directed by Julie Taymor and featuring music and lyrics by
U2's
Bono and The Edge, "Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark" stars Reeve Carney as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Jennifer Damiano as Mary Jane Watson and Patrick Page as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin.

Of course it is interesting to note that a
Batman Musical was in the works during the Burton film years. It never got off the ground, but check out this link to find more info on it and enjoy some of the music. Music was written by Jim Steinman of Meatloaf fame.
