CBC News - Film - Peter Jackson in talks to direct Hobbit films
So, after last months statement from Hellboy director, Guillermo del Toro, that he had to drop out of directing the Hobbit, it's rumoured that Peter Jackson of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is up for the spot. Well.....at least that would keep things consistent, right?

Lord of the Prequels
We all know that Guillermo del Toro will be directing THE HOBBIT film that should start shooting early next year. Good news!!Sir Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis and Hugo Weaving will be returning to reprise their roles as Gandalf, Gollum & Elrond.
A Bilbo casting announcement should be any day now.

Sean Astin at CALGARY COMIC & ENTERTAINMENT EXPO
The big names are heading to Calgary this spring. The Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo is playing host to some star power individuals this April. Sean Astin and Matthew Lewis.
Sean's best known as
Samwise Gamgeefrom the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Mikey Walsh in The Goonies. Matthew Lewis portrays Neville Longbottom, in the widely popular HARRY PORTER series. He is a character that has an increasing importance with each chapter. He's been in all five films, and will also be appearing in the sixth film Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince later this year!
