Death in the Family Interactive Film Puts Robin’s Fate In Your Hands

In 1988, DC Comics told fans that “Robin will die because the Joker wants revenge. But you can choose to save him.” For the classic A Death in the Family storyline by Jim Starlin and artist Jim Aparo, readers called a 1-900 number and sentenced Jason Todd to death. But now, fans will get a chance to make different choices.

Benjamin Melniker has died


In cinema, Batman has always been subject to change.
 Even amidst all that change, though, two names have been a constant with cinematic Batman: Michael Uslan and Benjamin Melniker.  Going back to Tim Burton’s landmark 1989 Batman film, the duo’s names have been listed in some sort of producing role on pretty much every Batman film ever since.  Sadly, Uslan announced on Facebook today that Melniker has died.
He was 104.

Whaaat?


Late last year it was reported that Apple was in talks with major Hollywood movie studios to bring movie rentals to iTunes just two weeks after they hit theaters. Today, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara said that there has been a lot of progress made on this new streaming service. Variety has the quotes below.
“We’re making a lot of progress,” Tsujihara said during a call with analysts on Wednesday, adding, “We’re aggressively working with exhibitors to talk about models that will grow the market instead of cannibalizing the market.”
“Part of the reason that’s driving this is consumers and the economics of the film business,” Tsujihara explained.
“The middle of the market in the theatrical business has gotten extremely tough,” he noted, arguing that offering some movies in homes earlier would “change the economics of adult dramas.”
