The Hall of Heroes Superhero Museum in northern Indiana preserves and celebrates the more than 80-year history of comic books and comic book characters. The building itself is a replica of The Hall of Justice from the Super Friends cartoon.This museum features more than 60,000 comic books and 10,000 toys and props. There are also more than 100 pieces of original art from all your favorite comics.
The statue featuring superheroes Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman was displayed during a media preview for the Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
The symbolic and metaphorical associations between fashion and the superhero are explored in this compelling exhibition. Featuring movie costumes, avant-garde haute couture, and high-performance sportswear, it reveals how the superhero serves as the ultimate metaphor for fashion and its ability to empower and transform the human body. Objects are organized thematically around particular superheroes, whose movie costumes and superpowers are catalysts for the discussion of key concepts of superheroism and their expression in fashion.

Anyway, an art gallery in Florida is showcasing some original art based on action figures and comic book heroes. The exhibit is called, "It's Not a Doll, It's an Action Figure." Guest curator Anna Pants assembled a talented and diverse group of 14 international artists to participate in the show. Pants said, “Each artist was asked to recreate the memory of their favorite action figure and/or explore the fine line between an action figure and a doll.”Bear and Bird owner/chief curator Amanda Magnetta-Ottati passed the curatorial torch for this special engagement to artist A. Pants after seeing the concept develop on Pants’ popular blog site, www.nerdsquared.com. The theme is especially appropriate for Bear and Bird Gallery, which sits atop Tate’s Comics, a popular shopping destination for toys, collectables, dolls, and action figures.
