Nolan Directing Inception Next

It was reported by Michael Uslan (producer of Dark Knight) that he expected BATMAN 3 to be out in 2011. I guess he was wrong. Nolan is set to direct another film now, BEFORE he thinks about starting another Bat-flick.

ComingSoon.net reports that Christopher Nolan has set up his next project with Warner Bros., an original screenplay he wrote called Inception. The "Dark Knight" director hopes to shoot the sci-fi action film in the summer for a release during summer 2010.

Inception is described as "a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind."

This pushes back any potential filming on a third Batman film, but three years -- and The Prestige -- passed between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Nolan has also long been attached to direct a big-screen adaptation of the British TV series "The Prisoner" for producer Scott Stuber at Universal.

2001 Dark Knight Returns?????

In January we heard this tidbit from DARK KNIGHT producer Micheal Uslan...
Uslan will be on-board as executive producer for the "Dark Knight" sequel, which he estimates will be theatres by 2011. As for the identity of the next round of Batman's super-villains and love interests, Uslan remains tight-lipped. "It's one of those deals where if I told you, I'd have to kill you," he says with a chuckle.
Now, hot the heals of the Grammy win for best soundtrack, we hear that BATMAN 3 script is in production.
the next BATMAN film is currently in the script stage with the brothers Nolan and David Goyer is hard at work.

the poster is a fan made interpretation

No Heroes TV

A while back, I wrote about a British TV series know as "No Heroics". Well, I looks like ABC is going to north-Americanize it into a pilot. The orignial series was based on a group of superheroes with less-than-formidable powers who hang out at a bar.
I guess we'll see have to see what comes of this.

More Dark Knight in 2011???????

New Jersey's Courier-Post talked to Batman Begins and The Dark Knight executive producer Michael Uslan, who expects the third installment of the Christopher Nolan-directed films, starring Christian Bale, to hit theaters in 2011:

Uslan will be onboard as executive producer for the "Dark Knight" sequel, which he estimates will be theaters by 2011. As for the identity of the next round of Batman's supervillains and love interests, Uslan remains tight-lipped. "It's one of those deals where if I told you, I'd have to kill you," he says with a chuckle.

Jonah Nolan sets us straight

So by now we all know that The Dark Knight has been nominated for 8 Oscar’s. BUT, it wasn’t nominated in top categories such as Best Picture, Best Director (Christopher Nolan…WTF?), and Best Adapted Screenplay. Co-writer Jonah Nolan sent his reaction to the fans at DarkCampaign.com:

hey — not sure who to address this to as it looks like a collective effort, but I just wanted to pass along my thanks.

It's truly humbling that you guys would take the time and effort to try to get the film recognized. I, like you, was disappointed that Chris didn't get some recognition this morning, but for Heath and so many of the people who worked so hard on this thing to get nominated is thrilling.

Any nomination for a comic book movie is a thing of beauty no matter how you slice it, and that takes the sting out a bit. Besides, I've been to the big show before, and, like any of these things, it's a little disappointing. Did you know it's not even an open bar once the show starts? At least this time I would have remembered to bring a little cash so I could buy myself a drink after losing.

The best part of this experience is seeing other people getting passionate about the film the way that we did. It has been a truly incredible experience. So thank you again.

best,

jonah Nolan

We, as fans, what the best for our heroes…including the Gold Statue. However, in true hero form, Jonah is telling us, it’s just an honor to be included.
