Batman: Knight Flight Launches at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi
The Warner Bros. World theme park in Abu Dhabi premiered one of its most anticipated rides this week as Batman: Knight Flight opens to the public. The theme park opened in July and is still opening rides to the public, the most recent of which is a Batman-themed thrill ride.
The ride uses similar technology to that of Universal’s Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. This includes special effects to give the rider the sensation of soaring over Gotham City. The park’s creative designer Dave Cobb is excited to introduce the new attraction.
“Batman: Knight Flight is a cutting-edge experience where guests visit the offices of Wayne Tech as unassuming job fair candidates, only to be identified and recruited by Batman himself to help solve a mystery unfolding on the streets and in the skies above Gotham City. Remotely tethered to the Batmobile, guests take an airborne journey in a high-tech drone wing and find themselves caught in a heroic and thrilling sky-high battle between the Dark Knight, The Joker and his Rogues’ Gallery of cohorts like Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze.”

10 Best Batmobiles

It’s interesting how the Batmobile always seems to reflect the times: in 1966 it was a muscle car, pure and simple, and a really cool one, too. In the ‘90s, the car became futuristic-looking and explorative, and there were more than a couple misses during that era. And finally, in a time when military action is prevalent all around the world, we have the Tumbler and other bulky Batmobiles from 2005 onwards.

First look at Ruby Rose as Batwoman
In August, Ruby Rose was cast as Batwoman for The CW’s big Arrowverse crossover event that airs this December. Today, we have our first look at what she’ll look like in the costume.
Entertainment Weekly says that filming begins today in Vancouver, which likely explains why an official photo was released this morning. We may be getting even more looks via some set photos later this week.
The big Arrowverse crossover event, titled “Elseworlds”, kicks off on Sunday, December 9th with The Flash, followed by Arrow on December 10th, and will conclude on December 11th with Supergirl.

DAMNED #1 Will Not Be Reprinted
Updated September 28, 2018: DC has informed Direct Market comic book retailers via email of its decision not to reprint Batman: Damned #1 "at this time." This comes after earlier word from the publisher that they intended to black out an illustration of Batman's genitals in any future printings.
DC also adjusted the release date of Batman: Damned #2, pushing it back two weeks to December 5. They go on to anounce that Batman: Damned #3 would be coming out three months later on March 13.

DC Regrets Showing You The Batawang
Pretty sure you can show vulnerability with showing dick. And, I don't mean Dick Grayson.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, all future printings of Batman: Damned will now have the penis in question censored out (as it already was in digital issues) after DC decided that the appendage didn’t really add to the series’ plot. While it’s true that revealing Bruce’s dick wasn’t absolutely crucial to drive Batman: Damned’s larger story forward, Bruce being nude does factor into the scene within the comic—a moment when he’s supposed to be at his very most vulnerable.

Thomas Wayne?
Warner Bros. has hired Alec Baldwin to appear opposite Joaquin Phoenix in its “Joker” origin film, playing the role of Thomas Wayne, the father of Batman, a.k.a. Bruce Wayne.
Variety first reported that Phoenix was in talks to play the Clown Prince of Crime. As soon as his deal was finalized, the studio gave the greenlight to a September start date with a budget in the moderate $55 million dollar range.
Todd Phillips (“The Hangover” franchise) is on board to co-write and direct. Jared Leto will not appear in this Joker film. Leto played the Joker in 2016’s “Suicide Squad” and is expected to be back for the “Suicide Squad” sequel, along with another standalone Joker movie that will be separate from Phoenix’s Joker project.

**Fun facts: the issues features the second-last Batman comic before he adopted his "new look", with more serious stories and a yellow oval around his emblem. (The final comic, Batman #163, appeared the following week, in March 5.)
**This issue marked the end of the "Martian Manhunter" feature in Detective Comics, which had been running since Detective Comics #225 (November, 1955), an issue that many people feel marked the beginning of the "Silver Age" of comics. The feature would move over to "The House of Mystery" the following month.
**DC gets its name from the initials of this comic - the first comic it published that featured all new material based on a single theme.

RC Lego Batmobile Is Your Puppy's Worst Nightmare
The new 321-piece set is essentially a remote-controlled car, and that car happens to be a modern Batmobile. The design resembles the vehicle in the Christopher Nolan Batman movies, so it has a beefier, tactical sort of feel. This actually comes into play when you’re actually driving it around, too.

Reeves offers exciting ‘The Batman’ updates
BREAKING: Matt Reeves offers exciting #TheBatman updates, hopes to start filming by summer of 2019 https://t.co/NZW4INhq68— Batman-News.com (@BatmanNewsCom) August 2, 2018
“We are working on getting our draft [in] the next couple weeks,” Reeves said. “Right now, my head is totally into the script. Right now, I’m going to be leaving here to go back to work on the script.”
So when will The Batman begin filming? “What we’ve talked about is hopefully in the spring or early summer, something like that,” Reeves said.
As for who will be playing Batman? According to /Film, “Reeves said he was still speaking with Affleck, but was coy about who might play the caped crusader in the film.” But he did seem to stand by his comments from last year that the movie will be part of the DCEU.“There are ways in which all of this connects to DC, to the DC universe as well,” Reeves said. “We’re one piece of many pieces so I don’t want to comment on that except to say that I’m focused very specifically on this aspect of the DC world.”

Batman: Three Jokers,
Big News from SDCC yesterday.
The big reveal, for at least the Bat-Fans out there, is further details for the Three Jokers series. Titled Batman: Three Jokers, the series will in fact feature Jason Fabok on art as previously revealed, but also release under DC Black Label. Johns was quick to point out that while the series is under Black Label, it still takes place during current continuity.
“It’s not about other dimensions or other Earths. It’s a very grounded, emotional story,” said Johns. He also stated that the series will focus on Batman (Bruce Wayne), Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) and Red Hood (Jason Todd).
The series will debut this winter as a three-issue prestige format limited series. Looking forward to what is to come for Joker

The Joker’s incomparable energy and clownish humor make him a perpetual favorite Batman villain. Whether it’s in comics, voiced by Mark Hamill in Batman: The Animated Series, or reimagined as an agent of chaos in The Dark Knight, the Joker is endlessly popular. This shouldn’t overshadow the fact that he’s an irredeemable psychopath capable of some truly despicable and disturbing crimes against humanity. Through all the smiles and laughs there’s a darkness at the heart of Joker few villains can compete with. It’s never a question of if the Joker will commit an atrocity — it’s when.
